May 5th: Our Neighbors to the South

Cinco de mayo is often viewed as a day of festive celebration.  But it is actually a day of mourning for Hispanics, in particular for the Mexican people.  And, it is also a day to celebrate peace and empowerment.  What can we learn from our southern neighbors about the coexistence of these ideas?
